This week I had the pleasure of emceeing the Michiana Builders Association/ Maciaf - Michiana Area Construction Industry Advancement Fund Excellence in Construction Awards Ceremony.

Former Notre Dame Football QB Brady Quinn was the keynote speaker. He did an incredible job and then we had a conversation and Q&A session.

The event was held at the Dahnke Ballroom at Notre Dame Stadium. Many of the men & women in that room played a part in the renovations & upgrades we enjoy there!

Overall, it was a great event celebrating the work of so many talented & forward thinking tradespeople, contractors & architects! I especially enjoyed the recognition of the top apprentices of the year! The future is bright 🌟

I have a ton of respect for Kate Gassman! She is a power house in our community! I had a great time chatting with her about my career, the importance of story telling & community connection as well as my nonprofit One Good Deed Michiana & our upcoming benefit concert Bloomin Fest-MI on June 27th AND this weekend’s Sip! Buchanan event that I have helped put together!

He’s a fighter! But keep the prayers coming for Brian & family! ❤️

We have good news to share.

Marian assistant basketball coach Brian Foster had a very long surgery today to repair his neck. His family tells us surgery was a success!

Coach Foster remains in a coma and on a ventilator to assist with recovery and will have a long road ahead of him but his family remains hopeful for continued progress.

He’ll have an additional surgery this week.

The injuries were sustained after Brian was involved in a serious accident after being hit by a semi truck.

The family is grateful for all your prayers and asks that you continue to keep Brian in your prayers.

We need all of you prayer warriors! A friend Allison used to work with at FOX28 and the father of one of the Robert Freeze Memorial Scholarship recipients is in critical condition after being in a car accident with a semi.
Brian Foster has been an active member of the Michiana community and has mentored so many children, especially basketball players! And Allison’s late husband, Rob, used to play basketball with Brian. He came home one night after playing and said “Man, that guy is good!”
Please pray for Brian to pull through this and to give his family strength!
