Unions led the way in protecting children from predatory labor practices, pushing state by state to implement age restictions in a humanitarian effort. While this issue feels distant, we remember our history so that we never go back.

Addtionally, few know this but the turfs for these games were made with the technology and skills of the Michigan State University Turfgrass Program!

It's and we recently sat down with LIUNA LOCAL 1075 Secretary Treasurer and Business Agent Dave Willert. Dave shared with us how he got started in LIUNA and the benefits he has enjoyed. Additionally he shared his advice for new , his hopes for the next generation, and the sense of pride he feels as his son has started on his journey to becoming a third generation laborer.
