MCAH AmeriCorps Programs

Such a great day with mid-Michigan AmeriCorps members at Fenner Nature Center! For this year's Russ Mawby Signature Service Project, members are helping to cut down cottonwood trees, remove invasive plants from along the trails and around the grounds, and filing documents and organizing around the facilities.

We're so excited to have kicked off our 2023 Russ Mawby Signature Service Project with Michigan's AmeriCorps! Members are coming together from across mid-Michigan to spend a day in service with Fenner Nature Center.

MCAH's AmeriCorps is looking for folks who are interested in serving their communities and making a difference!

For Where You Serve Wednesday, we're highlighting the communities where we currently have AmeriCorps members engaged in service. We're glad to be part of these communities, and a small part of their solutions to poverty and homelessness.

MCAH's AmeriCorps Programs are looking for Michigan non-profits that provide services to those experiencing or at-risk of homelessness. Through partnership, organizations host an AmeriCorps member for a one-year term.

Between both programs, members provide direct services to individuals related to housing, outreach, and employment and provide capacity-building services including but not limited to: community assessments, leveraging financial resources, program development, community awareness, and volunteer systems.
