Expanding Civil Engineering Firm is looking to fill multiple Civil Engineering positions.
Knowledge and Skill Set
Required:
• Civil Engineer Degree
• Entry Level - Requires minimal experience
• Mid-Level - Requires 3-5 years of experience
• Ability to give full attention to what other people are saying, taking time and asking questions to understand the points being made
• Ability to speak clearly with concise and well thought out direction
• Critical thinking using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
• Management of one's own time
• Research and obtain relevant project information
• Technologically savvy
Intermediate level skills and knowledge beneficial for these positions:
• Produce and edit drawings using Autodesk CAD Civil 3D
• Knowledge of building materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction of Civil Engineering infrastructure projects
• Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in the production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models
• Draw maps, diagrams, and profiles to represent elevations, topographical contours, subsurface utilities, improvements, and natural features, with the use of record drawings and survey data
• Draft plans and detailed drawings, working from sketches or notes, for surveys and construction projects, such as boundary surveys, subdivision plats, site plans, and public roads and utilities
• Layout gravity pipe networks using industry and local standards for depth of cover, slope, and utility clearance
• Storm water runoff calculations and system design
