In 2025, the Trump Administration disbanded the White House Environmental Justice Advisory Council (WHEJAC), attempting to silence thousands of comments, grassroots solutions, and testimonies from communities across the nation.

Breaking News: The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy has moved to approve a key permit for the Line 5 tunnel project.

Marnese Jackson, a MiCAN board member, is a multi-talented and dedicated individual who inspires many. In addition to her role on the board, she is a member of our Summit Planning Committee, the CEO of Midwest Building Decarbonization Coalition, and an educator. Marnese also serves on the boards of several other organizations and makes an impact in many other ways, all while being a devoted mother.
