To the Karen or Chad who reported us to the USDA for use of the word organic....good on you. This is an urban farm that makes about 5k a year. We do about $400 in plant sales. Out of the two owners and only employees, one has a brain tumor and the other has PTSD. Whatever the motivation, please get real. We arent a threat to you or anyone

And to the folks that dont know us well or aren't familiar with our practices, we utilize natural farming practices through and through. We make our own fertilizers from comfrey, fish scraps, and wild harvested mycelium. We use those inputs to innoculate our homemade compost and that compost is the only thing added to our crops.

The bigger issue here is when government turns from participatory and engaging to regulatory and abusive. No help, no guidance, just a $23,000 threat. When big brother decides to hurt instead of help....well....2026

Oh hey, did you know that we are Lansing's only farm that is MAEAP verified? This means we dont waste water, we dont use or store hazardous materials on our property. We dont indiscriminately use fertilizers or pesticides.

In fact, we make all of our own fertilizers from plants that we grow. Our system is completely closed-loop at this point. We make our fertilizers, we make our own natural fungal/bacterial spray, we make our own compost. Regenerative is just a word until you do it. We are super proud to be one of the few that actually does it ✌️

Market day tomorrow (FEB 7th) 10-2 in the JC Penny wing at Meridian mall!!

We will have tons of fresh, nutrient-dense microgreens available, including cilantro! We are also restocked with kombucha from Apple Blossom Kombucha and loaded with natural pet treats from FUR REAL Dog Snacks

We will also have the last few strawflower wreaths and a few remaining pints of garlic. Come say hi 👋

Sarah had her annual mri earlier this week. Results came back and everything is stable. No tumor growth and no enhancements on imaging. You're stuck with us for at least another year!!!!! 🥰💚🥳

The bees are doing great. This warm weather has them out and about for a stretch. So good to see them 😍

We spotted these two hipsters on the Eastside and asked if they wanted to do some farming. 2000 cloves later, and they are still here!

All jokes aside, these folks (our parents) have helped us out so many times that we couldn't possibly keep track. From pitching in during our early days navigating a cancer diagnosis/treatment to coming out to the farm to do manual labor, we are continuously shocked by their kindness, compassion and empathy

Bottom line, this farm would have buckled under the pressures and stresses of farming while navigating brain camcer. We owe them more than we will ever be able to repay. Thanks ✌️ 💚
