The Michigan Sheriffs' Association is a 501 (c) (3), non-profit organization compromised of elected Michigan Sheriffs and citizen and business members from across the state. Donations are tax-deductible. 100% of donations go to the Michigan Sheriffs' Association, we do not hire outside fundraisers!

This past Saturday, Deputy Klein and Deputy Long taught an ORV Safety class in Martin. They had 20 students join them to learn about safe ORV techniques and how to become safe, knowledgeable & responsible ORV operators. It was a great group and training!

Please congratulate Sgt Mike Badour on his retirement (again). His career spanned 31 full time years, 5 years part time, most of which were spent as Jail Admistrator. During his tenure, the jail recieved the highest ratings in annual MDOC inspections. Well done Mike, enjoy it, you earned it.

Congratulations Detective Jordan!
Detective Jordan was awarded the 2026 Michigan Law Enforcement Officer of the Year Award on Saturday. The Veterans of Foreign Wars VFW granted this recognition for the successful prosecution of an individual who stole just under $400,000 from a Navy Veteran. Good work detective!
