As we prepared to engage students in a meaningful learning experience focused on proper skin care, professionalism, and hygiene, we collected materials for our end-of-year community engagement and professional development programs.

Students have developed an appreciation for the importance of self-care and the role of professionalism in the workplace, educational setting, and within our community.

We are dedicated to expanding our youth learning opportunities across multiple programs.

Summer Basketball Camp We appreciated having Jasmine Benson collaborate with CDS for this year's summer program to enhance our basketball experience physically and spiritually.

We appreciated helping many students learn new skills and personal development skills in the areas of leadership, communication, and sportsmanship.

Though the summer program was brief, as summer drew to a close, our families were significantly impacted, and lives were changed, with skills developed.

Thanks to The Beauty Hub CDS summer beauty camp program was seamless! Her and her team did phenomenal!

“Throughout camp, the girls have learned skills and enjoyed fun activities, but more importantly, she hope they carry with them the understanding that true beauty shines from within. Her prayer is that each girl left knowing her worth is not found in makeup, hairstyles, or clothing, but in the love, kindness, and spirit she carries inside. That inner beauty is what God values most.”

It was incredible to witness and a pleasure to provide our Lansing families with a program not only did they request but a program students enjoyed, created new long last relationships and was able to grow in different aspects of life.

We experienced a truly unforgettable day in our CDS cosmetology program at Mt. Hope! 🌸

The day began with the CDS pledge, followed by the students' first snack outside to enjoy the beautiful weather. Trust was our focus word, prompting the girls to share their insights on its meaning and role in business and beauty.

They also reflected on their day, identifying situations where trust was either lost or gained in friendships. Each student also received a cosmetic bag with educational materials, and we emphasized the value of responsible borrowing and respect for others' property.

We are excited to see what this year program brings! Thanks for your continued support

Summer Program Recap: We are proud to observe students bridging the gap to ensure academic success throughout the new school year by participating in our summer programs, summer school, and exploring new experiences daily. As a token of appreciation, we rewarded them with an outing to Fun City Trampoline Park to expand their learning capacities. Our students enjoyed an exciting field trip, creating lasting memories together. Thank you for supporting their growth!

Afterschool program recap : students participated in a fieldtrip and also had a life skills lesson on the word integrity. We talked about what integrity means, why it is important, and how we can show integrity in our everyday choices both at school and at home.

We are so proud of how the students are participating and trying new things each day. We decided to thank them by rewarding them with an outing to expand their learn capacities by going to Launch adventure park.
our students had an exciting time on the field trip as they enjoyed themselves and made some great team building strategies together-all while creating great memories together.
