Applications are open for the City of Lansing Neighborhood Grants. Apply for up to $5,000 of funding for your civic organization. Applications can be completed online or in person.

Fun Halloween Activities in Lansing

---Halloween Official Hours and Related Events---
Official hours for trick-or-treating in the City of Lansing are on Sunday, October 31, 2021, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The City of Lansing will host a series of events with proper safety precautions in place for those who may not feel comfortable participating in traditional trick-or-treating activities (flyer attached):

Halloween Family Fun Run
Costumes are encouraged. There will be a bounce house, candy, pumpkin decorating and more. Pre-registration is required. For more information or to register, please visit the following link and choose "Events": https://parksonline.lansingmi.gov/wbwsc/webtrac.wsc/splash.html
-When: Friday, October 29, 2021, at 6:00 p.m.
-Where: Schmidt Community Center - Lansing

Drive-Thru Halloween
Vendors will be set up along the driving route giving out candy and other resources. Please note that traffic will be directed one way on the driving route.
-When: Saturday, October 30, 2021, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
-Where: Frances Park – 2701 Moores River Dr., Lansing

Trunk-or-Treat Drive-Thru
LPD and LFD staff will be handing out small bags of candy, and characters from the “League of Enchantment” will be on-site.
-When: Saturday, October 30, 2021, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
-Where: LPD Ops. Center – 5815 Wise Rd., Lansing

Souls to the Polls Drive-Thru Trunk-or-Treat
Join the City Clerk’s Office for Souls to the Polls Drive-Thru Trick-or-Treating. There will be food trucks, music and giveaways.
-When: Saturday, October 30, 2021, from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
-Where: 2500 S. Washington Ave., Lansing

Traffic Advisory: BWL will be closing Vine Street, between Homer Street and Clippert Street, for a water main replacement project starting April 19.

The work is expected to be complete by May 24.

A detour will be provided.

Mayor Andy Schor today announced that the City of Lansing will temporarily suspend its enforcement of the 24-hour sidewalk clearing Snow Ordinance due to forecasted extreme cold temperatures. The ordinance is suspended immediately, and property owners are expected to clear their sidewalks by the end of the day Thursday, February 18, 2021.
