I was pleased to congratulate Dawn Asper Monroe County Commissioner District 3 as the new President of the Republican Women’s Federation of Michigan and Michelle Germani as the new State Treasurer who both hail from Monroe County!

We mourn the tragic passing of Charlie Kirk, taken far too soon at just 31. My heartfelt prayers are with his wife Erika, their children, and all who loved him.

This senseless act is a reminder that political violence has no place in America. May God grant comfort to Charlie’s family and strength to us all as we honor his legacy by choosing peace and civility over division and violence.
