Ya’ll have no idea how special this order was for me 🥹 Being a baker means working long hours to create special treats for complete strangers on their happiest days, to bring smiles to their faces. It’s just the best job in the world 🥰🍪

Courtney is one of these semi-strangers who I spent 8 months planning and prepping her perfect cookie wedding favors last year! This big order was such a treat for my little business and it was a great experience overall! Well wouldn’t you know it…at the beginning of September I get a ring from Courtney’s Mom with the good news and a request for more cookies!! 👶🏼🍼 And if ya’ll know me at all, that’s an absolute YES! from me 🤗

I’m not going to lie ya’ll…it took weeks to decide to go to CookieCon. I called every single adultier-adult in my life and ran the numbers with them. Let’s face it! I’m young, with an even younger business, I work full time, only take a few orders a month. I have huge dreams for Sifted Pretty, but seeing the price tag of CookieCon had me like 😵‍💫

But you know what? Every. single. one. of those loved ones told me I should do it. And do it fully!! Get the add-on class, stay in Round Rock for the week, learn everything I possibly can and send them pictures while I’m there 🥹 So I did! And I can’t be more thankful for that support because it was one of the best weeks of my life.

CookieCon 2024 was full of the kindest new friends, a huge community of colorful people like me, helpful tips and tricks, so many cookie cutters, stencils, trades, flavorings, spatulas, piping bags, etc…..there was an extra suitcase, you get the idea😅 celebrating and working on my little business this past week filled my heart nearly full. I’m so thankful to those who supported me in this endeavor and every single kind face I met in Austin. You’ll see me again one day!!
