The third part to the Buddy, Ritchie, and Big Bopper (and Roger Peterson) series is out now! How were their bodies discovered? How did the families find out? Who was at fault? Listen to hear about the timeline, funerals, coroner's report (kind of), and the official investigation. Yeeeeah. Lots of info which is why it took soooooo long to release 😭

February 2, 1959 was filled with bus travel and a concert at 8 p.m. for the musicians on the Winter Dance Party tour. What was it like to travel the Midwest, in February, on early highways, in busses without heat? What was it like to be at that final concert at the Surf Ballroom? What were the last moments like for Buddy, Ritchie, J.P. Richardson, and pilot Roger Peterson? "Listen to me, hear what I say" in this episode of Where They Stood as we cover all of those questions and more (and you'll hear a surprise voice actor) 😆!
Also, I freaking did it. My GOD. I got this episode out on Feb. 2 😭 Those of you out in the world will never know what that took and that's....well, alright.
30: Buddy, Ritchie, and the Big Bopper (Part 2)--The Stars Fell - Where They Stood A three part series about Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, and JP Richardson, the Big Bopper. This episode discusses the horrendous conditions the musicians traveled in and under as part of the Winter Dance Party tour, the concert on Feb. 2, 1959 at t...
If you have known me for a bit, you know that when I was 15 years old, I fell into a deep Buddy Holly rabbit hole and never returned. It started with Ritchie Valens and the movie La Bamba but it was Buddy Holly's story and music that truly made me think I was born in the wrong decade. I wrote this episode TWO YEARS ago and have patiently (ha!) waited to release it to you. This is part one but part two will be released on the anniversary of Buddy, Ritchie, and the Big Bopper's last concert: February 2. Hope you enjoy.

Season 2, Episode 3: In my research of the Corrs, a name kept coming up on the birth (and death) certificates of Corr family members. I began to investigate the branches of this family tree and realized these branches would be connected to me in a way I never imagined. This episode takes a deeper dive into the life of Dr. Fred Drolett, his descendants, and leads to one of the worst days of my life. Also included: the Droletts indirect tie to the deadliest school attack in U.S. History.
The Droletts: A Life of Service - Where They Stood Dr. Fred Drolett was a well known Lansing, MI doctor who delivered over 6,400 babies during his years of service. This man inspired his descendants to also live in a way that helps, saves, and nurtures others. In this episode you will learn more a...
