We had another kitchen over the past several months getting close to the finish line this week. We started with drywall repair after a wall and pantry closet were removed to open up the sightlines. New flooring, countertops, and cabinets by HD. It’s been a long process for the homeowner, dealing with cabinets and getting wiring completed for under-cabinet lights, but we finished up with a beautiful white glass backsplash this week and are waiting for the vent hood to come in to install. Big blue beautiful cabinets make a huge impact!

This past month we’ve got a kitchen refresh across the finish line. All new countertops from Top Shop in Lansing, new Frigidaire 36 inch gas range, replaced old failing vent hood with a Kuchy professional series range hood and all with new LED lighting. All cabinets got new hardware and slow close hinges and repainted with Behr cabinet enamel “Night Blooming Jasmine”. Nice, bright, and will last years to come!

Over the past few weeks, we had a deck project that went much further than originally planned because of rot and previous construction shortfalls. It included new Trex decking, but also included reinforcing and repairing some structure, along with all new stair stringers, handrails, and overall more structurally rigid. We did our part by reusing some of the original materials, and it will all be painted in the spring once the new treated wood dries out.

The past few weeks have been a great bathroom remodel. Had bathroom fan relocated for better ventilation and split the one vanity light into two new lights thanks to Selleck Electric. All new plumbing for shower and raised shower head for better functionality. Attic vent ducting changed to meet code to prevent condensation in the colder months. Homeowner plans on finishing the paint, wallpaper, and new sink faucets. All new marble floor, large format marble look porcelain with a marble niche in the shower. All wrapped in five foot board and batten wainscoting. Thanks Linda and Ed!
UPDATE! Finish bathroom looks amazing after paint and wallpaper!

Thank you again to the Kendrick’s for the opportunity to provide a custom touch and refresh to their upstairs bathroom. They wanted to rebuild their old cabinets and drawers to match the new vanity they chose. Also a new recessed mirror cabinet and some new future proofing plumbing done to remove some old galvanized slow lines and corroded drain line. Never take for granted good water pressure and pipes that don’t leak!

Big thanks to the continued business! All done with flooring that has stretched the past few weeks. New silver oak flooring really brightens up each room.

A nice touch up project today that will offer years of clean gutters and proper drainage. Previous homeowner installed gutter guards, only problem is they installed them backwards and upside down. All new painted galvanized gutter guards for the win.

A nice custom carpentry project for some friends that wanted a floating shelf in their living room. A walnut shell was built and an internal mounting structure to cut down on weight and reduce the need for heavy supports.
