This semester, the ACE Capital Region is proud to feature four incredible teams, and we're loving the creativity behind their names: The Arc, Team Zeus, Clan Rip-It, and the Extreme Dream Team.

With just one week left until our final banquet, these teams are putting in overtime to finish before the deadline! We can't wait to see their hard work and innovation come to life during their presentations!

ACE Mentor Program Capital Region Michigan!

Today, we’re sharing a few sneak peeks of the incredible projects our students have been working on. As we get ready for our final presentations, students are making finishing touches on their designs.

Our students have been learning design software such as Revit, SketchUp, Enscape, and CAD; Their skills are now starting to flourish. Just look at these amazing renderings! Our students are blending their creative and technical knowledge in such impressive ways.

It’s been amazing to watch their growth, dedication, and collaboration each week. I’m so proud of how far these students have come and excited to see how their ideas continue to evolve beyond ACE!

Things are finishing up in the ACE Mentor Program!

Our amazing students are putting the finishing touches on their projects: landscape designs, 3D renderings, indoor and outdoor furnishings, and our final presentation!

Shout-out to the ACE Mentor Program of America for empowering the next generation of architects, engineers, and construction professionals nationwide!

This week at ACE, we explored interior design... and it's not what most people think. It's acoustics, accessibility, and atmosphere. It's collaboration across every discipline in the building process. Most importantly, it's the art of making people feel at home the moment they walk through the door. Our students are starting to see just how much thought goes into the spaces around them.

Proud to share another great session from our ACE Mentor Program!

These past few weeks, our students explored MEP engineering, environmental engineering and land surveying... Three essential components of the built environment that often happen behind the scenes!

It’s inspiring to see them applying these concepts through drawings and digital work, building skills that will carry into their future careers. Experiences like this are so valuable in helping students discover their path within architecture, construction, and engineering.

Tonight we stepped into the world of Landscape Architecture 🌿

We talked about how outdoor spaces are intentionally shaped, how grading, circulation, and planting all work together to create purposeful design.

Our teams wrapped up client meetings (with a few curveballs thrown in). Revisions were made, ideas tightened up, and the projects are stronger because of it. That’s real design work.

From site maps to floor plans to evolving Revit models, our students are starting to think like architects.

Week four of ACE Mentor Capital Region Michigan!
Today our teams learned about civil engineering from ACE Mentor Greg Minshall. Students continued developing their floor plans, began working on site plans, and many were introduced to Revit for the first time. So proud of the hard work and growth we’re seeing from our students!

Week three of ACE Mentor Capital Region Michigan is underway. Our teams are jumping right into their projects and putting ideas into action.
