Sweet C & The Sunset Rider

During Memorial Day weekend, we had the privilege of celebrating the opening of their renovated patio at Niko’s Taverna in Williamston! The party theme was Hawaiian, and folks came dressed in their finest luau attire. We had a fantastic crowd and thoroughly enjoyed welcoming summer with our tropical tunes. Jessica from Relax Travel Group did a wonderful job sharing vacation ideas with folks. The Greek cuisine at Niko’s was fabulous; we highly recommend heading to Williamston to try it for yourself. Our thanks to Nick, Brittney and their gracious staff for their hospitality!

A marvelous time was had by all last Sunday at the Rock The Vote gala at UrbanBeat. We were thrilled to be part of the lineup with stellar musicians Sam I Am, James & Caleb, Spoken Praise gospel group, and headlining act Big L & Code Blu. Yesterday’s Kentucky Derby party at UrbanBeat was a galloping great time! The crowd was decked out in all their finery, the Mint Juleps were refreshing, and the food was fabulous! Many thanks to Terri Valentino, Brenda Kosmer and Terry Terry for hosting this wonderful event and having us be a part of it.

The guys & I had so much fun last Friday at BrickHaven Brewing Co. We had a great crowd singing along with us, and folks were enjoying their Lobster Rolls! Special friends came out to support us, and I ran into a Sexton Big Red that I went to school with. Many thanks to Ben, Ed & their team for their great service, and to Mike Arnold for his support. Looking forward to coming back to BrickHaven on August 14! 🎶🎤🎸

Sweet C & The Sunset Riders had a wonderful time performing a Valentine’s Day gig at the Suwannee River Rendezvous Resort in Mayo, Florida! 🩷❤️💜 Over 100 folks, including nearby friends & family, came out to celebrate, dance, sing and just have fun! We even made a new friend, Sweet G, who sings like a nightingale! Now that we’re back in Michigan, we hope you can join us at BrickHaven Brewery in Grand Ledge this Friday, March 13 from 6:30-9:30 pm to shake off those winter blues & welcome spring! ☘️🌷☀️

When Mike & I formed this band, one of our goals was to play at Horrocks. We fulfilled that goal last Thursday, January 1st. It was an awesome night with lots of friends & family coming out to support us, and we made some new friends as well. A special shoutout to our sound engineer Dan H for helping us sound so good. What a fabulous way to ring in 2026!

Last Saturday night Summerlands Brewing Co. was rockin’! We had a great crowd and special guest Rick Hensel joined us on the bass for some tunes. We’ve been asked back to Summerlands on Saturday, December 13, so stop in after holiday shopping for a cruisin’ good time in the tropics! 🏖️🍹🦩

Back on Oct 4 we played the patio at Summerlands Brewery in Holt and had a fabulous time. The weather was in the high 80s, and Jeff Wilmore joined us with his violin. Just a month later, we’re playing at Summerlands again, but we’ll be inside because the temps will be in the high 30s.
