Good Morning everyone! Some great news. And be safe out in the snow today!

Food incubator coming to downtown Lansing An innovation in culinary investments is planning to open to the public in summer 2024 – featuring 16 concepts with a variety of food and drink offerings.

Today we would like to introduce one of my favorite childhood lunch meals. Could probably work as a special at The German Place.
Yummy.

While we start spooky season Germany is about to kick off the Octoberfest!

The world-famous beer festival is held annually in Munich, spanning a little over 2 weeks. During the festival, millions of people from around the world come together to celebrate Bavarian culture, enjoy traditional food and, of course, indulge in beer.

The heart of Octoberfest lies in its beer tents. There are several large and smaller tents, each with its unique atmosphere and sometimes even its own brewery.

Traditional foods include freshly baked soft pretzels and a type of white sausage served with sweet mustard.
Live music, dancing and singing, parades featuring horse-drawn beer wagons, marching bands and the amusement park area making it family friendly are all part of this memorable event.

Many attendees, both locals and visitors wear traditional Bavarian clothing. For men, this is often Lederhosen (leather breeches), while women wear dirndls, which consists of a bodice, blouse, skirt, and apron.

The Octoberfest is a celebration of culture, camaraderie, and a good cheer attracting people from all over the world to partake in this lively event.

Wondering what the we mean when we say The Macotta Club will have an "incubator kitchen"?

An incubator kitchen is an accessible space where local entrepreneurs can develop their food-related businesses. This includes all of the resources of a commercial kitchen, with equipment like ovens, grills, and deep fryers in a large, sanitary workspace. This offers a soft launching point to test flavors, build brands and clientele.

Food entrepreneurs will be able to curate resources, experience, and the fan base needed to expand to their permanent location upon completion of the program. These makers will bring their talent, and The Macotta Club will bring the equipment they need to take their ideas to the next level.
