Dell machines are a popular choice for businesses with large IT departments, but they also offer a range of direct-to-customer options and Alienware gaming rigs. In the Lansing area, a lot of people get started on pre-owned Dell computers from the MSU Surplus Store. If your Dell needs some TLC, bring it in to CapMac on Michigan Avenue for diagnosis and repair.

We can't fix everything. But we're pretty good with computers.

Apple recently released its first-ever budget laptop. Curious about the MacBook Neo? Here are our thoughts... we LOVE it!

*Pros:*
- affordable at about the same price as a basic iPhone
- sturdy as heck
- long battery life (advertised at 16hrs!)
- nice, bright screen
- 2 mics and 2 speakers for spatial audio, plus a headphone jack. Decent for music, GREAT for video conferencing.
- AppleCare is only $4.99 a month on this machine (or less with an annual discount). Headache-proof your future computer repair.
- USB-C ports! no adapters needed for most modern accessories
- colorful, high-quality laptop build
- cool keyboard that matches the body color
- fast and flawless performance for websites, video streaming, and productivity software like word processing

*Cons:*
- limited customization. Four colors, and 256GB or 512GB memory; these are your only options.
- don't even bother with the 256GB (our opinion)
- not enough oompf for video editing, music mixing, AI coding, or graphic design work that's more demanding than Canva (but it runs Canva great)
- not a serious gaming machine, though it can run ipad-like games
- not upgradeable. This is the same as other modern Macs, but we still wish there was a way to soup it up or add storage space down the road.
- limited RAM means it may struggle to multitask if you're running multiple high-demand apps
- no backlit keyboard
- TOO POPULAR. Already backordered until June 1! 🙁

Small. Local. Woman-owned. In an era of big tech, we believe in keeping it real.
There aren’t many independent computer repair shops left, but we’re right here on Michigan Avenue, serving Lansing with pride (and a little nerdy flair).
