Skit 001 "Of Course We're Tired" So, you want to know why GenXers are tired at least 2 days a week?

We survived some "interesting adventures" and didn't have Helicopter Parents who tracked us throughout the day for proof of life.

We started our day drinking unfiltered tap water or whole milk. If you were lactose intolerant, TOUGH 🍪🍪, drink tap water. Our parents fed us bran cereal, Grape-Nuts, or Wheaties (unsweetened) with whole milk. I'm pretty sure most of us used the toilet more often! 💩

Our parents had an unspoken agreement with Elmentary teachers. I remember seeing a wooden paddle in a classroom and being led to believe we could be spanked if we misbehaved. Yes, I cried in 2nd grade after being caught passing a note with a swear word because I thought Ms. Cherry would paddle me and call my parents.

We burned our legs using a molten HOT metal slide on the playground in Summer. And we fell onto hard dirt with muddy areas during the Monkey Bar Wars.

We also fell for CRUEL pranks pulled by older siblings or cousins. Our backs still hurt from the whiplash from our cousin quickly leaving the see-saw while he GLEEFULLY watched our end slam down to the pebbles-filled ground.

I'm about 20% away from finishing "Windhorse Woman" and goal is to finish it by Monday evening.

I would love to re- open Roxann's Book Nook, since I currently have multiple shelves and stacks of 2nd hand Fiction and Non-Fiction books. (INCLUDING hair raising thrillers, horror, and adventure books 📚)

The first time I dipped my toes into selling beloved used books was in 2021 when customers were hesitant to go out and about to shop.

This year I want to offer a sustainable and affordable ways to purchase 2nd hand books while actively making a difference in our community 📚 😀!!

For example: I would sell books in bundles and at monthly pop ups, flea markets, and vendor events. Roxann's Book Nook would donate books each month to nursing homes, shelters, and at Little Free Libraries. (AND to cut down on our carbon footprint I would like to partner w/Red Bike Delivery, CATA, Lime Scooters, and Bulk/Book Bundle deliveries.
