It's been a busy few days but the dust is finally settling before the Holidays. We had a great time at Great Lakes EXPO and appreciate all of you who stopped by. We are still sending apples out of state, so please reach out if you are interested. We wish you all a Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year!

Happy Thanksgiving to all of the growers, packers, processors and all of those who make our industry great! We look forward to seeing many of you at Great Lakes EXPO in December!

Apple season is underway in Michigan!

The association has arrived at minimum prices for the 2025 apple crop with the following processors:

Burnette Foods, Inc.
Ge**er Products
Materne GoGo squeeZ
Peterson Farms, Inc.

Conversations are ongoing with processors who have not yet agreed to the minimum prices. The committee has opted not to publish pricing again this year, so please contact us for that information

Thank you to asparagus growers, processors, and fresh packers across the state for a strong season. The 2025 season has concluded with processors receiving the lbs. necessary to fill orders for U.S. Department of Agriculture as well as new and existing business in the private sector. Kudos to the industry for a very dedicated effort!

On May 2nd, U.S. Department of Agriculture announced Section 32 Awards for $5 Million of Frozen and Canned Asparagus products. Honee Bear Canning won the canned and both Michigan Freeze Pack and Arbre Farms Inc. won the frozen. Thank you to USDA and to our processors for bidding! Please contact us if you need help finding a home for your processing asparagus.
