Today marks 25 years since September 11, 2001. We pause to remember the lives lost and to hold in prayer their loved ones, survivors, first responders, and all who continue to carry the grief and lasting wounds of that day and its aftermath.

God of mercy and peace,
draw near to all who mourn.
Bring healing where violence and hatred have caused deep wounds.
Deliver us from fear, prejudice, and division.
Guide the nations of the world in the ways of justice and peace, and make us faithful witnesses to your love and instruments of your reconciliation.

SCAMMERS IMPERSONATING PASTOR JONATHAN:

It appears another person has been impersonating me through text messages sent to some of our members. I was made aware of two different people yesterday who received text messages supposedly from me. I'll put a screenshot of one message below.

Please remember that I will never ask you for money to be sent to me and not through official church methods. Also, if something looks or sounds suspicious or strange, please call me! The number that these messages came from was not mine either.

At this point, there is nothing to suggest that church systems have been breached. These scammers have figured out that some people are members of the church somehow, and the fact that I'm the pastor is public information.

In these days of technological sophistication, phishing scams are only going to get more and more intricate.

If you received a message similar to the one below, please let me know. But more importantly, please report the message as spam, and block the number.
