I can't emphasize enough how much buying from a small local owned business can make a difference.
We know, we get it. Food prices are way up. You have to get the deals where you can. We're feeding 3 kids (including 2 teenage boys and also a Chef Nick) ourselves! But, if you can ever find a way to squeeze a small local business into your budget, please try. Even if it means an extra stop on your shopping day. It could literally help save someone's livelihood.

Our Story
Vamos! Colombian Inspired Cuisine Food Truck specializing in Colombian arepas.
About our Arepas!
Handmade white corn Colombian arepas are our signature item!
Made from scratch with white corn. We cook whole white corn kernels until they're soft and then run them through a grinder to make a dough. We then form the dough into patties that we grill with a little bit of salt and butter (or olive oil). We then split the arepa and stuff it with a variety of fillings including mozzarella cheese, slow roasted port, beef with Colombian Creole sauce, or blackened chicken with chipotle mayo-we even have a vegan version with roasted vegetables and olive oil. We love to put an American twist on our arepas by including fillings such as Buffalo Chicken, Philly Beef, and Steak. Be sure to look for our take on the Tampa favorite Cuban Arepa.
Chef Nicolas Gomez was born and raised in Bogota, Colombia. He received his degree from Le Cordon Bleu in Orlando and has worked at some of the best restaurants in Tampa. He has over 16 years experience including banquet experience.
Owner/Operator Melinda Murray Gomez grew up in Central Illinois before moving to Tampa in 2006. She has over 12 years experience in the hospitality industry and is an aspiring Sommelier working towards Certification with the Court of Master Sommeliers.
Vamos! began as a small booth in October 2016 operating at farmers markets and events around the Tampa Bay area. In March 2017 we were proud to open Vamos! Colombian Inspired Food Truck. Look for us at breweries, offices and special events all over Hillsborough and Pinellas Counties.
