Taking a hiatus from hosting the weekly jam at RASE Thursdays again until cases in LANCASTER decrease. Have a happy new year and see you in 2022 !
The jam is on tomorrow ! 5-7pm at RASE Project , come hang !
Hello folks ! Wanted to give everyone an update on the state of things. A few of our main volunteers & musicians left town and I (April) am without a consistent group to help me run the weekly jam session. I’m gonna have to suspend it until I can find more folks & can deal with some personal issues. I appreciate all the support over the years ! We will continue to give away instruments (I have 3 acoustic guitars ready for a good home locally ! Please reach out) ❤️

Excited for Brittney who is starting their journey playing the baritone uke ! They shared with us:
"Music has inspired and helped keep me sane during recovery. Benjamin Tod and Apes of the State being my biggest influences. I'm 1 year and 7 months soberish and would really like to learn something new to keep me busy as I'm unable to work due to my mental health. Sitting in my camper drinking one night while listening to Using Again, my friend looked over at me and said, "you know you're a full blown alcoholic right?" As I talked about calling off work early the next day so I could get started drinking earlier in the day. It was a rough time, but a month later I decided I wanted to stop, after hearing Strangers and connecting with it. I would especially love to learn some folk punk songs as that's what kept me afloat so far."

Justin from Ohio got this awesome short scale bass today ! He shared with us: "One of my biggest regrets during active addiction was selling my instruments. At the time it seemed like I had no choice. Listening to music and creating art has been one of my biggest coping tools since I’ve gotten out of rehab. Unfortunately right now I’m still trying to make amends and pay back everything I took from loved ones, so even if I had the money, I wouldn’t be able to buy an instrument for a long time."
We now have a long list of applicants waiting to recieve instruments. If you can, please help us by donating at paypal.me/secondchancetoplay
