Poetry Paths fosters new ways of seeing our city and forges new connections in our community by bring All of these experiences lead to poetic expression.
Through Poetry Paths on the Street, we work with arts and community organizations throughout Lancaster to develop, commission and install pieces of art featuring poems. These original works of art are designed to seed new perspectives, create new connections, and bring beauty and intrigue to Lancaster’s residents and visitors. Congratulations, Olivia!
Olivia Keener is an eleventh grade student at the McCaskey High School Campus who published her poem “The Peaceful Lake” in Poetry Paths Kids Poetry Journal, Volume 5 (2014). Her poem has just been republished in Here: Poems for the Planet, an anthology from Copper Canyon Press, one of the top three poetry publishers in the United States. Olivia’s poem is featured alongside poems by U.S. Poet Laureates and many other great American writers! Awesome work, Olivia! 📚🙌🏻
