Let’s GO! 🧭 The Get Outdoors (GO) Lancaster hiking program officially kicks off on June 1st!

The Library System of Lancaster County has partnered with Wellspan Health to offer one exciting summer-long adventure. It’s completely FREE, totally family-friendly, and the perfect way to explore the beautiful parks and trails of Lancaster County.

How it works:
1. 🎒 Pick up your official rubbing log at your local library or sign up on Beanstack starting June 1st.

2. 🌳 Hit the trails and hunt for the hidden posts.

3. 🗺️ Track your progress and earn cool prizes for kids along the way!

The adventure begins June 1st, see you on the trail. 🥾

We are so excited to bring a brand new Bookmobile stop at the Leola Pool this summer! Look for us parked up by the pavilions on the 4th Monday of each month (through August) from 4-5:30pm!

The Bookmobile is hitting the pavement today for the Marietta Memorial Day parade! We couldn’t be more honored to spend the morning alongside members of our amazing community.

Library System of Lancaster County's Teen Summer Zine is back for 2026!

Teen Summer Zine is an award-winning program for tweens and teens ages 12-19. Offered in conjunction with the Local Libraries of Lancaster County, the program brings together mentor authors and artists, a celebration of the hand-made roots of zines, and the opportunity to help create a zine!

Students ages 12-19 will learn from local arts professionals while creating their own hand-made publications that can include comics, fan art and fan fiction, poetry, collage, and illustrations. All art and writing materials will be provided, along with snacks! Students may submit their favorite pieces for publication into a county-wide digital zine that will be available for checkout through Libby at the end of the summer.
