Martin Mustang Families,
I want to take a moment to thank everyone for a stellar first week of school! The students and staff exceeded expectations and this was one of the best first weeks of school in recent memory! Our thanks to all of you for your support and understanding this week as we all tried to get back into the swing of things!

I do want to take a moment to remind you about some procedures for dismissal:

1) Please make sure you are contacting the school if transportation needs change at dismissal. If you are normally a car rider and your student needs to ride the bus, contact the school. If your student normally rides the bus and you are coming to pick them up, contact the school. We ask that contact is made prior to 2:00pm.

2) Car riders need to be dropped off and picked up in the car loop and not from the parking lot or the front entrance. Families that get out of their cars and wait by the front entrance will be asked to stand to the side and their children will be called after families in their cars in the car pool line are called.

Sign up for the 15th Annual Back-to-School Event! Hosted by Representatives Rivera and Smith-Wade-El, the event will be held from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, August 9, 2026, at Penn Medicine Park.

This event is open only to K–8 students who live in the school districts of Lancaster, Manheim Township, Hempfield, and Penn Manor.

At the event, children can receive a free haircut and enjoy music, food, games, and community activities. Information on state programs and services for children and families will also be available.

Mr. Read class had perfect attendance for PSSAs. As an avid sports fan, we figured what would be better than gifting him 6 Stormers tickets?! Way to go!!!
