Paula's Simple Stitches

It is with mixed emotions that I write this. I have given much thought to this and my decision is final. After 52 years of service I am closing my business, Paula’s Simple Stitches. I have made many friends and prayed over every customer as I completed their mending and alterations. I have arranged for a good friend in the business to service my customers. June was a month of fun and creative moments as I altered 21 gowns in 8 weeks along with many other alterations and repairs. My sewing machine is due for a cleaning. I will be taking the next few weeks off to enjoy time with my family. However, I will be monitoring my site and will schedule appointments for later in the month. I wish you all a joyful July and thank you for your patronage!

In the spring of 1972 I made my gown for the Junior Prom Then a friend asked me to help her with her gown. That was my first paid job and the birth of Paula’s Simple Stitches! I am celebrating 50 years in business!! This prom season I altered 12 prom gowns and 2 bridesmaid gowns and continued serving other customers too.
