✨ Meet the Minis: Baxter ✨
Baxter joined Mobile Minis in 2015, when his owners were relocating and thoughtfully searched for just the right home. After meeting the herd (and the humans!), they knew he’d be a perfect fit—and he’s been winning hearts ever since.
For over a decade, Baxter has done it all—and wouldn’t have it any other way. He loves being part of the action, the herd, and the adventure. If something’s happening, you can count on Baxter to want in!
One of his most charming traits? His adorable little trot—so cute, he almost earned the name Prancer! He also loves running and playing with the boys, Scout and Lucky, keeping right up with them despite being 17 years their senior. And on windy days… let’s just say his mane gives major rockstar (Bon Jovi) vibes. 🎸
Baxter is curious, dependable, and the ultimate team player. Whether he’s starring in a themed activity, clowning around, or simply showing up for connection—he’s exactly the kind of partner you want by your side.
🎂 Birthday: May 6, 2005
We’re so excited for you to get to know Baxter and all the joy he brings to the barn! 💙
Sometimes the best lessons come from a little creativity… and a low-hanging tree branch. 🌳🐴
During a recent ride, Eric discovered that if he sat tall enough, he could tap his helmet against one of the branches along the path. Once was fun—but then came the real challenge: could Kenzie do it too?
What started as a simple, playful moment quickly turned into a posture goal and a social challenge—encouraging confidence, body awareness, and a bit of friendly fun along the way.
At GMTRC, we love finding ways to turn everyday moments into opportunities for growth. Way to go, Eric! 💙
What an incredible season of growth in our Silver Saddles program! 💙🐴
This spring, 10 women stepped into Silver Saddles 1.0, learning the foundations of handling, grooming, and building a meaningful connection with their horses. Along the way, many shared how welcomed and empowered they felt—and the joy of discovering that their horse *wanted* a connection with them.
Confidence grew with each new skill, as participants accomplished things they once thought were out of reach.
From there, 5 women continued on to Silver Saddles 2.0, where they refined their skills and took on more advanced games with their equine partners. Highlights included the thrill of sending their horse out on a circle at the trot—maintaining connection even at a distance—and learning to truly “dance” in partnership. And of course, enjoying peaceful walks outside as the sunshine finally made its return. ☀️
Programs like this remind us that growth doesn’t have an age limit—and that connection, confidence, and courage can flourish in every season of life.
To our Silver Saddles ladies—thank you for your heart, curiosity, and willingness to grow. You inspired us all. 💙

They’re here—and already stealing hearts! 💙🐴
Skyla, Faith, Baxter, Scout, and Lucky arrived safe and sound and wasted no time making themselves at home. From joyful runs around the pasture to rolling in the grass and grazing in contentment, it’s safe to say they’re settling in just fine.
Several of our students got to meet them for the very first time—and were absolutely *flabbergasted* by just how cute (and tiny!) they are. 😊
We can’t wait for these little ones to begin their role in our handling program, where they’ll help foster connection, confidence, and growth in such special ways.
Welcome to the family, minis—we’re so glad you’re here! 💫

From our Question of the Week: What’s your favorite barn sound?
React below to choose your favorite:
👍 The rustling trees as the wind rolls across the fields
❤️ The steady clip-clop of hooves on the pavement
🥰 The deep, contented sigh that softly wuffles through a horse’s lips
😆 The triumphant neigh calling out to herdmates
Each sound tells a story—and together, they make the barn feel like home. 💙

Today, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.
At Greystone Manor TRC, we are reminded that courage, sacrifice, and service are at the heart of a strong community. Because of their bravery, we are able to do the work we love—helping individuals grow in confidence, strength, and hope.
We remember. We honor. We thank you.

We’re still feeling incredibly grateful after an amazing day of service from the team at Steve Groff Masonry Inc. who joined us at the barn last Friday! 🙌🐴
In just one day, so much was accomplished:
• A new gravel path from the indoor arena to the pastures and paved trail—making for a smoother walk (and fewer grass-snatching temptations 😉)
• A beautiful stone walkway connecting the parking lot to our barn entrance
• A refreshed back patio
• A parking pad for trailers
• Repairs and improvements to our cinderblock stalls
These updates have already made a meaningful difference—not only in how our space looks, but in how it functions for our students, team, and horses each day.
Thank you for your hard work, generosity, and care for our mission. We’re so grateful to have you as part of our community! 💙

Nate took on the Trust Game this week—following Liz and Stephen’s lead through one of our favorite (and challenging!) exercises. 🐴
The goal? Guide your horse straight through a narrowing path of ground poles… with one catch: once your horse enters the space, no pulling on the reins. Just quiet hands, clear intention, and trust that your horse will stay the course.
It’s a powerful way to build strong horsemanship skills—but it’s also a meaningful reminder: we can’t control everything. Sometimes, growth comes from learning to trust the process, trust our partners, and move forward together.
Way to go, Nate! 💙
We’ve been keeping a little secret… And it’s finally time to share it.
This weekend, something very special will be arriving at Greystone Manor Therapeutic Riding Center… Five miniature horses!
Traveling all the way from Florida, these tiny equines are making their journey north to become part of our herd, and our family.
They come to us from a program lovingly created by their “mom,” Linda, founder of Mobile Mini’s, where they’ve already been spreading joy, comfort, and connection throughout their community.
Now, they’re bringing that same magic to GMTRC.
While they may be small in size, we know they’ll make a big impact.
We’re dreaming up all kinds of ways these minis will help us expand our programs — from unmounted experiences and group activities to creative new ways of connecting with individuals of all abilities, both on-site and out in the community.
And the best part?
We’re just getting started. Over the coming weeks, we’ll be introducing you to each of these adorable new team members and sharing more about how they’ll be part of our mission.
But for now…
Get ready to fall in love.
Because something tiny is about to make a huge difference.
