Our Kalas Manufacturing associate Glenn Martin once again lived out our mission of improving the lives we touch when he participated in the 34th annual MDA Ride for Life. Glenn raised money to support the Muscular Dystrophy Association and spread love and joy to the children at the weekend event in May. Take a moment to read about the event and see pictures of Glenn's kindness in action. http://kalasfoundation.org/supporting-the-mda-ride-for-life-2021/

The past year has not been an easy one for many individuals and businesses, including non-profits and community organizations. Yet also during the challenges navigating the pandemic, the services, and support of charitable agencies were needed more than ever by the individuals and families depending on their care.

The Kalas Foundation was proud to offer financial support throughout all of 2020 and is equally grateful to continue to share disbursements in 2021. So far this calendar year, we have given to the following;

Four Diamonds Fund – children’s cancer
MDA – Ride for Life event – funding towards those with Muscular Dystrophy Ride for Life
Long’s Park Amphitheater- summer music series Long's Park Summer Music Series
Jewish Family Services – summer camp for kids (associate sponsored)
Lancaster Science Factory – STEM program The Lancaster Science Factory
East Cocalico Lions Club – annual programs for community
YMCA Reading & Berks – programs for community Reading YMCA
Fulton Theatre – youth programs & annual series Fulton Theatre
We do not take this opportunity for granted. Our ability to help those who truly improve the lives of so many in our community is something we are grateful for. Thank you to each and every person involved with the organizations who have reached out for our support. It is your work in our communities that has sustained and carried us through what otherwise was a tough year.

We hope 2021 brings health, greater well-being, and financial security to all!

All the best,

The Kalas Foundation Team

United to Improve Lives

In 2009, our parent organization, Kalas Manufacturing Inc., combined efforts with WICU to established the Kalas Foundation to lend financial, emotional, and physical assistance to individuals and organizations in need within the communities where our associates live and work. Since that inception, we have had the joy and privilege of granting disbursements every quarter to many wonderful 501-C3 organizations doing amazing work in our communities. We are grateful to each and every organization we’ve been able to support for the countless ways they are improving the lives they touch. Please visit our website http://kalasfoundation.org/ to read uplifting stories of impact and learn how your organization can apply for quarterly disbursements.
