This is the son of the original owner holding a picture of his dad on this bike in the mid 60s. He told me today this his dad stopped riding it in 1968 when a car hit him. He was very happy to see his father’s bike restored.

This restoration is nearly completed. This is a 1962 Honda C105 Cub with the optional sidecar that Honda offered in other parts of the world. I was told by the original owner that Honda imported this bike and sidecar to test the market here in the US. His father bought it in 1963 after Honda was finished using it as a promotional bike. According to the original owner there was not enough interest for Honda to start importing the sidecar. He told me that to their knowledge this is the only one that a Honda imported. There are a couple more in the US but they were imported by private individuals.
