Today was amazing for the last race of 2023 N2/Wera endurance series.
First, Alabama is beautiful 😍 The facility was clean with well mannered employees.

Boys did amazing! Walt started the race with fastest lap time being 1:53.
Scott finished and took the checkers with fastest Lap being 1:47.
There were 28 total teams in the Ultralight race today and these boys finished 14th!!!

This year we traveled! We’ve been to new tracks, met new people, shared lots of laughs, and most of all we made memories.

Round 3- N2/Wera endurance at Roebling Road Raceway in Bloomingdale, GA.

Somehow we survived the heat. With the humidity in Georgia, it was triple digits.

Race recap- 2hour lightweight.

Started 17th.
Walt started the race and had best lap time at 1:29.
At an hour he came in and Scott went out. Scott’s best lap time was 1:26.
These boys pushed it through the heat. We finished 14th out of 20 riders.

We had the pleasure to help friends again for the 4 hour endurance.
It takes a team to make this stuff happen and we are blessed to know amazing people.

We’ve made it to Roebling Road Raceway since 10am. Our AC has been tripping the breaker and dealt with triple digits with the heat!
We pulled in and parked around 3pm for it to storm… of course we parked in an area it floods 😅😂 miss Jaiden came with and definitely enjoyed the cool off!

Rusty Nuts Racing #99- weekend recap-
Round 2 N2/Wera Endurance Series: 2 hour ultralightweight
We traveled to Kershaw, SC. The guys rode at CMP for the first time.
Thankfully, the guys were healthy this round. They went out for practice on Friday and was able to learn the track.

Guys did awesome today 😎 ! Went out for qualifying but the transponder was not working. Unsure what placement we would have been able to start with.

Started dead last. Walt started the race and was keeping pace- best lap time was 1:57
At an hour he pit in and switched with Scott.
Thankful for Kustom Cockpits (Tom and Allen) who help us with pits!
Scott went out the last hour and took the checkers. Fastest lap time for him was 1:54.
Not horrible for these ol boys 😉 and not horrible with only learning the track the day before!

Started dead last with 21 riders. Finished in 12th!
It’s always a trial and error. It’s always discussed on what needs to change or what stays the same.
Each time we get better with pit in.

We also helped 4 D’s Racing- (Kappy and Posse). And Scott helped with Kustom Cockpits for the 4 hour endurance.
Holding the pit board and being the one there is critical. Keeping track of laps so they did not run out of gas…. Making sure you watch them each time they pass- never know if they need to come in early. Communication is key 🔑 I happy they trusted me with that (lord knows I wouldn’t change a tire that fast like the boys did!)
Overall it was a hot sunny ☀️ day, but I’d take that for a race weekend!
I’m currently red with that horrible “farmers tan”.

Miss Jaiden was allowed to bring a friend. They rode hoverboards all over! They also talked and talked and talked 🤯

CMP was a nice facility. Bathrooms/showers were CLEAN! Super plus the water was hot! Snack bar was not over priced, and staff were super nice.

Next- Round 3 in July at Roebling in Bloomingdale, Georgia!
