Join us on May 29th for a
Low‑Waste Living Workshop + Refill Experience
hosted by local business owner and sustainability advocate, Julia Anderson.

We’ll kick things off by exploring the practical, approachable mindset shift that makes low‑waste living feel adaptable to your life. We’ll also talk about how refill and closed‑loop shopping amplify community action and show the impact we create together.

Bring your own bottles to refill, or shop from our prefilled options that return to our closed‑loop hub.

Available Products for refill:
Laundry Detergent
Hand Soap
Dish Soap
All Purpose Cleaner

We’ll also be collecting hard‑to‑recycle items for local upcyclers:
• plastic bags
• bread bags
• type 2 plastics
• fruit + veggie mesh bags

Parking is available at the Silver Spring Cemetery.
Registration is free at the link in bio! Let us know you plan to come learn, refill, recycle, and connect with us. 🌱✨️

Knowledge is power.

Did you know that right now, there are at least 6 different types of plastic in your home. 7 if you count plastic lined reusable water bottles and nylon products.

Swipe for our Know Your Plastic guide that helps you to identify the different plastics in your home, which ones are best for reuse, and which ones are better to refuse. Printed copies always available at our workshops and events - get yours tonight at Go Green Columbia!

When we know what we actually have in our homes, it is easier to make changes that better align with our values. Start in your kitchen! See how many types of plastic you currently have in your home. Take it a step further and see which of those you can think of ONE plastic free alternative to OR one way to reuse the item.

✨️ FAQ FRIDAY ✨️
How does closed loop work with Fount & Fill?

We stock up our closed loop hubs with PREFILLED gallon and half gallon glass jars.

A lovely person such as yourself who wants to reduce plastic waste will purchase the products and use them up!

NOW when the bottle is empty, you simply return the bottle to the hub to recieve a discount on your "refill" purchase.

I take care of the rest - sterilizing, checking for damage, refilling, and restocking.

Right now you can shop our closed loop products in Conestoga! More closed loop hubs coming to a town near you - keep your eyes peeled for some fun announcements later this month! 👀

First up! We’re kicking off the season with one of our favorite events — Go Green Columbia!
We’ve been part of this celebration for three years now, and it’s always such a blast.

Join us on Arbor Day, April 24th, at Columbia Crossing River Trails Center from 5–7:30 PM. You’ll find vendors, food trucks, and tons of amazing community groups all working toward environmental education and sustainability in our area.

We’ll be there:

collecting hard‑to‑recycle items for local upcycling creators

sharing info about our closed‑loop hubs and Low‑Waste Mindset Workshop

chatting about plastic - identifying the different types, what they are used for and their impact, and simple ways to reduce plastic at home.

And because we love a little flair, we’re bringing a fun selection of bamboo stickers - great for water bottles and note books! Swipe to check those out.

Come hang out, say hi, and celebrate all the good happening in our community.

Getting really excited to share our spring line up with you all! But before I do that - I've been having a lot of conversations about the way we have grown. So I took some time hopefully explaining our mission here - swipe to read.

Those of you who have been here since the beginning know that we are a very small grassroots operation testing out ways to make refill shopping and low waste living convenient and accessible for our community. Each year since we started we have been listening to your feedback and adjusting. Making changes in the business that align with our main goal of making this a lasting change with collective community impact. You are what keeps me going!

The changes ahead are what we have built together. Your support and trust as we reach our final form mean the world to us. It may look different from where we started, but it makes sense for our mission and the communities we serve. As always, thank you for being here. Stay tuned to stay in the loop.

It's that time of year - reflections and resolutions. ✨️

2025 didn’t go as planned—but it brought me closer to what matters most: connection, conversation, and community-powered change.

To be honest, I struggle with social media- its a great avenue for connection, especially for small businesses like mine. But what I realized is I haven't been using it in a way that reflects why I am really here. Because I am not here to try to sell you these products. Weird thing to say, but thats the truth. Yes, I've found some really great products to share with you all, but my goal has always been to invite you to explore shifting your mindset towards less waste and more intention.

This past year, I had the joy of being able to share my Low Waste Mindset workshop with students, clubs, businesses, and community groups—and more recently, my talk "Marketing Plastic: The Story of Brownie Wise." Connecting people with the history, science, psychology, and philosophy that has shaped my experience in low waste living and the mission of Fount & Fill is what feels like the most authentic avenue for me to continue.

In 2026, I’ll keep showing up with workshops, talks, and Community Refill Days (May–Oct) across Lancaster County. Visit the website for more info!
And you can always shop our closed loop refills at

Thank you all for being part of this journey. These past two years have been full of learning, experimenting, and growing. I’m so grateful for your support as we’ve explored what low waste living can look like.

I look forward to be able to work with you more closely on adopting the mindset and practices that make low waste living, easy, fun, and relevant to your individual lifestyle needs.
