🚫 Never punish a cat.

Cats don't learn from punishment the way many people think they do. Instead, punishment often creates stress, fear, and anxiety—making behavior problems worse, not better.

🐾 They associate your anger with you, not the behavior.
🐾 Fear teaches them to avoid you, not to change.
🐾 Punishment can damage the trust that took months to build.
🐾 Most of the time, cats are simply following their natural instincts.
