How does a rabbit win a GC leg?
The magic numbers are always 5 animals and 3 exhibitors. However, it depends on the award as to which animals are counted.
-BIS and Reserve in Show - win legs if there are 5 animals competing in the show, shown by at least 3 exhibitors
-Best 6 Class and Best 4 Class – both win legs if there are 5 or more animals competing, exhibited by 3 or more exhibitors
-Best of Breed, Best of Group, Best of Variety – win legs if there are 5 or more animals in the breed/group/variety and at least 3 exhibitors showing them
-Best Opposite S*x of Breed, Best Opposite S*x of Group, Best Opposite S*x of Variety – win legs if there are 5 or more animals of the OPPOSITE S*X of the BOB, BOG or BOV winning animal and 3 or more exhibitors showing those 5 or more animals. Only the animals of the opposite s*x are counted for these legs.
-First in Class wins a leg if there are 5 or more animals in the class and 3 or more exhibitors

Little buns did so great today at Sauk rapids thanks to Central Minnesota Rabbit Club! We will be headed back tomorrow for two more shows! Some highlights of today’s victories!

- Sage (mini lop jr doe) won her first leg in the second show!!!She also won BOSV and best opposite! So proud of this junior mini lop! Very promising little girl🥰

-Penelope (mini Rex jr doe) won 1st place and best opposite!!!

We will update you with the totals of each bunny once we get home tomorrow!!!

We had a great time and can not wait for tomorrow’s shows!

From the Eric Carle Team: It is with heavy hearts that we share that Eric Carle, author and illustrator of The Very Hungry Caterpillar and many other beloved classics, passed away on Sunday, May 23rd at the age of 91.

When asked why he thinks The Very Hungry Caterpillar has remained popular for so long, Carle said, “I think it is a book of hope. Children need hope. You, little insignificant caterpillar can grow up into a beautiful butterfly and fly into the world with your talent.”

Buster placed 1st in all 3 jr buck otter shows

Blue placed 2nd and 3rd in the jr otter doe shows

Penelope placed 3rd and 4th in her class with blue placing ahead of her

Tricky placed 2nd 3rd and 4th in the broken classes!
