Here at MomCo., we gather and support moms. We believe in the simple but revolutionary idea that remarkable things happen when moms come together, face to face.

That’s why we rally women to come together in their own neighborhoods and help each other! Who We Are

Moms had their coffee. Kids needed their sugar rush, too!

LRBC MOPS Crew took the opportunity to meet moms where they are - both in this phase of their life, and actually at this morning! Spreading the invite to join the MOPS ministry. Come be enriched, fulfilled, and loved.

"Messy blessings" 🥰

Let kids be kids.

When we’re out at a restaurant, and our antsy child accidentally knocks a drink over, spilling it all over his sister, who screams.⁣

𝘛𝘩𝘢𝘵’𝘴 𝘬𝘪𝘥𝘴 𝘣𝘦𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘬𝘪𝘥𝘴.⁣

When we're at the grocery store, and one of our children throws herself on the floor because we said no to powdered donuts at 9 am.⁣

𝘛𝘩𝘢𝘵’𝘴 𝘬𝘪𝘥𝘴 𝘣𝘦𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘬𝘪𝘥𝘴.⁣

When we're at the pool, and they’re splashing, and you get wet, or a ball they’re playing with hits you in the head.⁣

𝘛𝘩𝘢𝘵’𝘴 𝘬𝘪𝘥𝘴 𝘣𝘦𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘬𝘪𝘥𝘴.⁣

Kids aren’t meant to be quiet,⁣
still,⁣
and neat.⁣

And these messy blessings are part of our society too.⁣

As parents, we do our best to make them respectful, kind humans. ⁣
But they aren’t perfect,⁣
and they’re still learning.⁣

They’re going to scream, “I got you!" and in response, "No!” outside when they’re playing tag. ⁣

They’ll laugh wildly at dinner, sometimes too loud.⁣

And honestly, they should.⁣

THEY NEED TO BE CHILDREN.⁣

They’re the future and bring so much sunshine and purpose to this hard and often unfair world.⁣

So let kids be themselves.⁣

Let kids be kids.

𝘞𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘥𝘰𝘦𝘴 𝘮𝘰𝘮 𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦?⁣

To clean the house: load the dirty dishes into the dishwasher, fold the laundry, and pick up toys from the floor,⁣

to take things off her mental load from making sure there’s more peanut butter in the pantry, packing lunches, getting bills paid to scheduling everyone's doctor's appointments,⁣

to sit down and not have someone climbing on top of her and plopping down on her lap,⁣

to lose herself in social media: Memes, Reels, all of it. Because sometimes she needs to unwind and see what’s happening outside her small world,⁣

to scroll through the thousands of photos on her phone and tear up at how much her babies have grown,⁣

to spend time with her partner eating dinner together and commiserating about the day because adulting is hard…⁣

𝘚𝘩𝘦 𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘥𝘴 𝘪𝘵 𝘢𝘵 𝘯𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵.⁣

Because when a mom tucks reluctant children into bed, her day is just beginning.⁣

It’s where she gets everything done with no fighting and, "Mommy, look!" distracting her.⁣

And there’s a magic in those quiet hours, whether they happen before the sunrise at 5 am or late at night after 11 pm.⁣

They’re the reason mom has tired eyes and complains about not getting enough sleep even when the kids sleep through the night.⁣

But they’re also the reason mom is able to keep going with a full heart.⁣

This time’s important for her mental well-being,⁣
to pursue a career or passion,⁣
have an intimate conversation with a friend,⁣
and time to recharge to Netflix.⁣

Because the truth is,⁣
this quiet time fuels her in a way that sleep can’t.

I’m not ready.

I’m not ready for another year.

I’m not ready for back to school and backpacks.

I’m not ready to send you off every day, all day.

I’m not ready to miss you.

I’m not ready to anxiously wait to hear how your day went.

I’m not ready for my house full of laughter and loudness to turn quiet and still.

I’m not ready to end lazy mornings and late summer nights.

I’m not ready to lose a part of you.

Because every new school year, I do.
I lose a part of you.

You become one grade older.
And year closer to needing me less.

And yes, some days I feel ready.

I’m so ready because you guys are literally bouncing off the walls that I don’t have enough patience or activities to entertain you.

But I’m just not ready.

I’m not ready to let go of these little moments with little you.

Somehow you warped through time and the days of your tiny voices speaking mispronounced words are gone.

And I can’t stop time from moving, even though I would give anything just to go back to those days, even if it was only for a moment.

Because no one ever tells you the hardest part of motherhood is letting go.

I’m not ready.

I’m not ready for another school year.

But I know when it begins, another chapter unfolds.
And there is beauty in that too.

I’m not ready for you grow up.
But here you are.
Growing up before me.

And somehow my heart beams with pride
but also breaks a little bit too.

Because that’s just part of being a mother.
And the love I have for you.
