When massaging the body circulation in the blood is boosted so this encourages oxygen to be pumped more efficiently. The pressure created by massage therapy moves blood through congested areas. This causes new blood to flow in, resulting improved body function. Thus increasing oxygen throughout the body as a whole promotes wellness. A simple but very effective way to encourage healing in more ways than one!

It's been two months since my accident, a period that has significantly changed my perspective on life and the importance of the people in it. I'm genuinely happy to have returned to work and am immensely thankful for the patience and support extended by my clients during this challenging time. Their acts of kindness have been a source of great comfort and strength for me. Additionally, my family's incredible support and encouragement have been indispensable. Their presence and unwavering faith in my recovery have played a crucial role in my journey back to normalcy, for which I am deeply grateful!

Yesterday marked a significant milestone in my recovery journey as I had an orthopedic appointment that brought fantastic news:
I've been cleared to walk with tolerated weight.

This progress fills me with excitement, not just for the personal mobility it promises, but also for the professional doors it reopens. I'm eagerly looking forward to engaging more fully with my clients once again. The support and prayers from everyone involved in my recovery process have been invaluable, and I deeply appreciate every gesture of kindness and encouragement. It's been a challenging journey, but I’m so Thankful the Lord has continued to guide me through this.

I am thrilled to announce that, following my period of recovery, I will be returning to my practice in a limited capacity. My commitment to providing high-quality care remains unwavering, and I am eager to reconnect with each of you again. Appointments will be thoughtfully spaced to accommodate this transition. I'm happy to share that my first appointment went well. Reaching a 90-degree leg bend is the newest goal. Despite not putting weight on it yet, I'm discussing with my healthcare team plans to return to work. We're thinking of starting with Swedish massage and gradually moving to Ashiatsu as I heal. The next follow-up is in four weeks, marking my recovery progress.

The immense outpouring of love and unwavering support I have received during this incredibly difficult time has not only left me in awe, but it has also taught me the importance of accepting help, something I have often struggled with. It is difficult to put into words the depth of my appreciation for each and every person who has taken the time to reach out, whether through a text, a call, or by lending a helping hand during our move and unpacking. Your visits to the hospital and the daily surprises you bring have touched my heart in ways I cannot fully express. "Thank you" feels inadequate to convey the overwhelming gratitude that fills my soul for all of you!

Plate & screws were placed. Nerve blocks were turned off at 4am. Hoping pain is manageable with oral medications.

Prayers are appreciated, I have to be at Shands at 5am to prep & have my surgery!

I hope you have had a wonderful holiday season. I wanted to reach out to you personally to share some news that's been difficult for me to process. Unfortunately, on the 23rd of December, I broke my leg, and it requires surgery followed by a period of recovery.

I want you to know how much I value and appreciate you as a client. It's with a heavy heart that I must step away temporarily from providing massage services during this time. Serving you has been a source of joy and fulfillment for me, and I'm truly saddened.

Please know that my commitment to your well-being remains unwavering, and I am actively working on a plan to resume services as soon as possible. While the road to recovery may take some time, I am determined to come back stronger and ready to continue providing the care and attention you deserve.

During my absence, I will do my best to keep you updated on my progress.
