St. Jude Showdown

Saturday after the show check out this awesome social event hosted by the FJSC Junior Board!

School isn’t out quite yet, but that doesn’t mean we can’t have a little bit of summer fun. We can’t wait to kick of our summer series with some waterslide fun! We hope to see you there!

We are so grateful to DelValle Veterinary Services LLC for sponsoring a buckle at this year’s show. Community partners like them allow us to continue to have quality prizes.

Special shout out to LaMonte Property Services, LLC and Mark and Melissa LaMonte for sponsoring ELEVEN buckles! Mark and Melissa are always the first to support kids and events such as this. It is because of people and businesses like this we can continue to host a quality show and donate to such an important charity.

We have been busy working for this year’s St. Jude Showdown. Last year, we were able to donate $10,000 to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and are hoping to do it again this year! This year, both Saturday and Sunday will be points shows for FJSC members. We will continue the same format as always where we award buckles, banners, and pay outs on Saturday. Sunday, only buckles and banners will be awarded. All monies from Sunday will be donated. Also on Sunday, the overall champions and reserves will get to pick a charity or non-profit for a donation to be made in their name.

Stay tuned for show announcements. This year, the local charity we are collecting items for is The Well Worn Way. We will be announcing further details on this partnership soon. In the mean time, I highly encourage you to go to their page to see all the wonderful things the organization has been doing.

MUST READ - IMPORTANT INFORMATION
We are excited to see everyone tomorrow. The fair grounds open at noon. As soon as we get the ok from the health inspector, we will start weighing pigs. Pens are free and available on a first come first serve basis but we anticipate having plenty.

***There is very limited power to the barn. Please plan to bring a generator if needed***

Campers are allowed, but they will be parked away from the livestock trailers. There is no charge and there are no hook-ups.

We will have several food vendors this weekend, so please visit them during the show.

Don’t forget to bring your non-perishable food items for a chance to win a speaker! Our free clinic will start at 7 pm in the ring.

After the show Saturday, stay for the sale and the FJSC waterslide social. All are welcome!

We will only be weighing pigs once for both shows. If you show Saturday, you do not have to reweigh for Sunday.

Sunday morning we will have a church service at 8:30 am at the ring. Don’t forget your charity t-shirts!
