Meet the amazing couple behind Two Tulips Boutique, Carla and David Watkins! Carla received a degree from Ball State in Fashion Merchandising and Marketing. Shortly after graduating college, she and David (whom Carla had been dating since she was 16) got married. Carla changed her career path and has been working for the same software company for over 35 years.

When Cheryl, the previous owner of Two Tulips, contacted Carla in December of 2014, they decided to not let the store go since it has always been Carla’s dream to own a store just like Two Tulips. Fast forward to 2024: We have rebranded to “Two Tulips Boutique”. The Watkins’ 3 boys are now grown men with the addition of 2 daughter-in-laws and our first granddaughter. The store has taken on a whole new meaning with much spoiling involved;) Now Two Tulips Boutique has 4 fantastic ladies as the daily faces who have been major factors in the huge growth and success the store has shown since coming out of the pandemic.

Carla is still working full time at her career but continues to stay very involved in decision making and the direction of the shop. The store’s focus and theme remain the same concentrating on baby, brides, piggy banks, stationary, fine gifts and continuing Carla’s love for personalization. Carla is invested into and is always bringing in new lines to keep the store fresh with her own flare. Carla partnered with Julia to create “Rush by Two Tulips”, catering to and providing merchandise for Sororities. After only 9 months they are working with many different houses at several universities in Indiana and Illinois.

Carla and David love to meet new people and pleasing every customer is the true goal. Spending a Saturday at the store together, seeing and making new friends is their idea of a perfect day.
