MKR Development
We help organizations develop workplaces that work—at every level.
Every organization has values.
The real question is whether those values show up in the work.
At MKR, our values guide how we approach leadership development, workplace culture, and organizational challenges every day.
We run toward people problems, not away from them.
We share what we know and make it stick.
And we build solutions that leave organizations stronger, not more dependent.
These aren't just statements on a page. They're how we work.

Do you know how your team experiences your leadership, or do you know how you hope they experience it?
The strongest leaders don't guess. They seek feedback.
A 360 Evaluation can uncover strengths, blind spots, and opportunities for growth.

Some people catch what’s happening in a conversation right away.
The rest of us, unfortunately, have to figure it out later.
On the drive home.
Or the next day.
That gap matters more than we think.
It shapes how conversations go, how people respond, and how work feels day to day.
If you have ever walked out of a conversation wishing you handled it differently, catch our July Midday Lunch & Learn : Reading The Room & Understanding The Moment.

You may think you need a large budget to support your people, but you don’t. A lot of small businesses assume benefits like EAPs are out of reach. But support can look different.
It might be a partnership with a local counselor.
A financial workshop through a credit union.
A discounted gym membership.
The point is being intentional.
Mental health, finances, and stress all show up at work whether you plan for them or not.
Supporting your people is part of how the business runs.

By the time most workplace issues get addressed, they’ve already caused major problems. The patterns are set. The frustration is there. People start working around things instead of fixing them.
That’s why we created space for these conversations earlier. As we plan upcoming MKR Midday sessions, we want to focus on what leaders are actually dealing with right now.

A lot of what looks like a people problem is actually a clarity problem.
As companies grow, things get harder, decisions slow down, accountability gets inconsistent, culture starts to drift. Most of the time, it comes back to unclear roles, ownership, and expectations.
That’s where structure matters.
If things feel heavier than they should, ask: What hasn’t been clearly defined yet?

Most workplace issues do not start big. They build over time.
A comment that crosses the line. A shift in tone. Something that gets ignored one too many times.
Eventually, that becomes the work environment.
In our June Midday discussion, we’ll tackle how Civility in the Workplace plays a bigger role than people think.
When it slips, collaboration gets harder, conversations get avoided, and performance starts to dip.

The people side of business is the business. When leadership, structure, and culture work together, organizations move differently.
If your workplace systems are no longer supporting the kind of culture, performance, or growth you want to see, it may be time to rethink how the work is working.
Let’s build a workplace that works at every level.

May’s MKR Midday filled up quickly! That usually tells us one thing: people are looking for space to talk about work in a more real, practical way.
When workplace issues go unaddressed, they don’t go away. They repeat.
That’s why our MKR Midday sessions stay small and focused. People need space to talk through what is actually happening at work.
In June, we are focusing on Civility in the Workplace.
Not surface-level politeness. Real day-to-day behavior.
How people communicate
How frustration shows up
How feedback is handled
When that breaks down, performance usually follows.

Your team is always learning from you, even when you’re not trying to teach anything. Your follow-up, your consistency, what you address, what you ignore… it all adds up.
Over time, people adjust to your patterns more than your expectations. So if performance or accountability feels off, it’s worth asking:
What have I been reinforcing without realizing it?
