To the dads who are doing the work 🙏

Father's Day is Sunday. This one's for the dads - biological, chosen, step, foster, single - who are showing up and doing the inner work too.

The world doesn't always give men permission to struggle.
To say "I'm overwhelmed."
To go to therapy.
To cry.
Dang, even just saying the words could be difficult.

We give the permission and the place.

If you're a dad who's trying to break cycles, show up differently, or just figure out how to be present, we see you. That takes real courage. 💛

Happy almost-Father's Day to every kind of dad out there.

Some of us were praised so consistently for being helpful, productive, responsible, or successful that we slowly started confusing performance with worth.

A strong work ethic isn’t the problem.

The problem is when rest feels shameful.
When slowing down feels lazy.
When making a mistake feels like losing value.
When your identity becomes tied to how much you produce for other people.

That’s not work ethic anymore.
That’s worth ethic. Blech! 🤢

And a lot of people are carrying it without even realizing it.

You do not have to constantly prove your value to deserve care, rest, belonging, or love. 🤍

Big news at The Authenticity Center… we now have THREE counseling interns on our team!

As we continue growing, we’re committed to making mental health support more accessible to our community. Along with now accepting insurance, working with master’s level counseling interns is another way we’re helping create more affordable options for care while also giving future clinicians meaningful, supervised hands-on experience.

We’re excited to let you get to know Drew, Dorothea, and Amber. We are so glad for our community to be served by them! ❤️‍🩹

At the ribbon-cutting for the new Ochsner behavioral health center opening next month. It is an exciting day when a community like this shows up for mental health in our area. “Mental health IS health!“

As Brittany begins her maternity leave season, we couldn’t think of a better time to celebrate the incredible team that makes The Authenticity Center what it is.

Every therapist here brings something different to the table — different experiences, approaches, personalities, and strengths — but all with the same heart for helping people feel seen, supported, and cared for.

This little trend felt like the perfect reminder that the people doing this work are humans first, too. And we’re pretty grateful for this team. ✨

You don't have to earn belonging here. You already have it.
