Thanks so much to Tony Davoren for playing one of the tracks from our most recent album on Welcome Kind Stranger KRVS 88.7fm tonight, but we’d especially like to thank him for his kind words. We love Tony, and everyone involved with Celtic Bayou Festival, and the amazing Pete Dawson who we were honored to have on that track playing the Irish flute so beautifully, and of course we love KRVS Public Media. We’ve been long time listeners and supporters of this jewel of cultural preservation and encourage everyone else to do so as well. Slàinte mhath!

Tony does a fantastic job with this show featuring a wide range of Celtic music along with stories about and insights into the music and culture. Over the air in the Lafayette’s area on 88.7FM or streaming worldwide at KRVS.org

“Grammy and Oscar award winning recording artists, the Whiskey Bay Rovers”?
Not exactly, but it’s not as far from the truth as you might think! The 2025 blockbuster film “Sinners” has a soundtrack that blended delta blues and traditional Irish and Scottish music. Well, our good friend Tony Davoren was tasked with arranging some of the music for it, and he pulled together a choir to record for it. Our very own Eric Martin and Andy Lee were part of that choir. You can hear them in the scene when the vampires are singing “Rocky Road to Dublin.”
Watch the 'Sinners' chorus of Louisiana singers perform song from Oscar-winning film These musicians played a pivotal role on the film, and reunited for a fun performance at the Celtic Bayou Festival.
