We had a wonderful time welcoming Lisa F. Rivers and her financial literacy class from Westminster Christian Academy Opelousas to visit our tiny home project!

As a part of the students’ unit on buying a home and understanding mortgage payments, we introduced them to an alternative housing option. During their visit, we compared and contrasted the costs of a tiny home versus a traditional home, providing the students with a real-world perspective on how housing decisions can impact their finances. We explored the key factors such as value, quality, and size of tiny homes, while also discussing the advantages and disadvantages of each option.

A kitchen designed for making memories–and built to last a lifetime.
This authentic Acadian-style kitchen, designed by Gossen Architects and built by LA Craftsmen, features custom cypress cabinetry, antique beams, and tongue-and-groove ceilings. Finished with imported European handmade tile, antique interior doors, and commercial-grade appliances, every detail reflects the craftsmanship we’re known for.

First impressions matter–and this foyer delivers.
Featuring antique beams and tongue-and-grove ceilings, this space is framed by two brick archways that add timeless character. A curved staircase creates a striking focal point, while antique sconces and hanging fixtures cast a warm glow. Finished with European handmade antique tile, this foyer blends craftsmanship with classic design.

Making good progress on an 8-ft tall two wythe brick fence. Copper gas lanterns and other accessories will hang from the fence.... More to come. This brick fence made of Old St. Louis will be a nice backdrop to all of the landscaping on this custom build.
