Interested in Electrical & Computer Engineering? Come visit with us! No prior knowledge of programming and electronics is needed. We often recruit from beginner computer science and electrical/computer engineering courses. Through working with CAPE, you can learn about using micro-controllers, computer programming at an embedded level, implementing electronics in aerospace applications, creating professional hardware schematics, and constructing PCB layouts!

CAPE stands for the Cajun Advanced Picosatellite Experiment, CAPE is a nonprofit and student-run organization that develops and builds picosatellites along with a host of other aerospace and mission-related systems such as weather balloons and sensor buoys. Our facilities are provided by the University of Louisiana at Lafayette’s Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering.
