I had an absolute blast exploring a ship for the first time—and immediately wanted to draw it 🛳️ ✏️

It’s such a unique kind of architecture, and sketching it brought me right back into the experience.

It also got me thinking about how moments like this could be captured and shared through art—little keepsakes from the trip. I could see this becoming a fleet series!

Five years of Vanee.Ink 🖤

Some years feel like momentum. This one felt more like endurance.

I’ve wrestled with fear, doubt, and that whisper that maybe I’ve failed. But I’ve also had the privilege of helping bring others’ visions to life through custom work, growing connections with kind and talented shop owners, and pushing my work further into the world through wholesale and product development.

This past year I took product wholesale class, and just recently started training in fine line tattooing — a new way to let my hands do what they love most: draw with intention, permanence, and care.

So here’s to the messy middle — to still being here, still making, still curious after five years.
