In honor of Black History Month, we want to celebrate Black American innovators and entrepreneurs. If you didn't know the answer, this was a man named Garrett Morgan. Morgan was a Black American inventor who patented the three position traffic signal in 1923 after witnessing an accident. In addition to his work as an accomplished inventor, Morgan was a diligent social activist who supported the African American community, inspiring and paving the way for future generations.
