Been working hard getting people their gifts for Christmas. I had to post this beautiful board that came out stunningly (is that a word?). End Grain Maple, Walnut and Philippine Mahogany 24" x 18" with generous juice groove and inset handles.

Not my usual woodwork, but a friend asked me to refinish this for him. It was his father’s.

Stripped, sanded and finished with Rubio Monocoat Oil Plus 2c Pure.

Just finished this cutting board. 9 1/2” x 15” x .75”. Hard maple, Wenge (dark thick strips) and Padauk (very thin strips). Will make a great everyday cutting board. This is the size I grab 90% of the time I am in the kitchen.

Pictures don’t really do this board justice. It could just as easily be used as a serving board for appetizers at your next party.

If you ever want the board professionally refinished, just pay for two way shipping and I will refinish it for free. Each board comes with a starter kit of Bumblechutes board serum and board wax.

Several years ago I was searching for Christmas gifts that were unique, personal and practical. I wanted to give my friends and family something that was special and something they would use. So I started making things, particularly cutting boards. Eventually, people started asking me to make custom charcuterie and cutting boards and I have been making custom items ever since. This year I am opening up some of my production capacity and offering non-commissioned pieces to the public. This week I am offering these sister cutting boards. Each board measures 18” x 13” and they come from the same piece of walnut. I love the mixture of traditional walnut with the lighter sapwood which gives these boards their dramatic design. Sapwood is the wood on the outer portion of the tree (closer to the bark). These boards are heirloom quality and, with proper care, will outlive you. These boards are so good, your kids will fight over them.
