Unforgiven

layed a multitude of live shows throughout the Chicagoland area, including The House of Blues, Joe's Live, The Forge, RockHaus, JJ Kelley's, and repeat appearances at OakFest and Streator's 4th of July Festival. On May 14, 2020, while the pandemic lockdowns were still in place, Unforgiven conducted a free live stream concert to viewers on Facebook and YouTube entitled, "The Quarantine Live Stream". The band members performed live together from their individual homes via cutting edge low-latency audio software and broadcasted a 1-hour show to people still stuck in their homes. The band understandably felt disconnected from the people they routinely shared time with during four consecutive years of live shows, and figured those people perhaps felt the same way. The band returned for a short stint following the pandemic, playing its last show on Saturday, October 29th at RocHaus in West Dundee, IL. The vision of this first era of Unforgiven was album-accurate performances and a variety of song offerings whereby non-Metallica songs would be reinterpreted; given the Metallica treatment or "Metal-ized". The band gave themselves the moniker "Mostly Metallica" to brand this approach. Unforgiven will return to the stage on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at The Forge in Joliet, IL and this time, the vision has changed...

For its rebirth, Unforgiven's focus lies primarily on the storied high-energy thrash era of Metallica, with reproduction of the energy and chaos that has long been synonymous with a live Metallica show at its core. The ex*****on will remain precise, but perhaps in direct conflict with age and nature... it will be faster and more intense. Delivery of all the "Metallica-isms" fans have come to know and love from their live shows will take the place of more predictable album arrangements or reinterpreted songs outside the catalog. An an Unforgiven show, we aim to entertain you to the utmost, but also to instill that ever so slight feeling of trepidation that comes from existing on the thin line between aggression and... complete loss of control. "Mostly Metallica" has become "All Metallica", and we can't wait to share it with you \m/
