Our Wallowa County Project Coordinator, Kelly Hendrix, attended this year's annual Oregon Connect Conservation Conference 🤝. This is a large meeting connecting watersheds, soil and water conservation districts, and land management professionals👷 from all over Oregon to share knowledge and expertise concerning both the technical and administrative side of conservation🌿. One of the activities associated with the event was a beach cleanup effort. Kelly was kind enough to snap a few photos from the conference and the beach 🏖️ to share. Thank you, Kelly!

Last month on November 18th &19th, we hosted our annual State of the Science Meeting🔬. We are pleased to announce the success of this event and want to wholeheartedly thank each and every person who attended. We specifically want to thank our great speakers for presenting on a wide range of topics regarding native fish 🐟, our rivers/streams/lakes 🏞️, the rich history of the Grande Ronde basin 📖, and more. We had 78+ attendees overall this year and we will be providing a link to our YouTube channel soon where you can view all of the presentations in their full format. So subscribe to us here on Facebook or on Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/granderonde.mw/) if you want to know more, keep in touch with us for next year, or if you weren't able to make it to the event this year, but still want to hear what all of our wonderful presenters had to say 📣. Again, from all of us here at the Grande Ronde Model Watershed, thank you, and we hope to see you all again next year!

Hey everyone, have you heard of Wild Hope? It’s a new
series from Wild & Scenic Film Festival partner HHMI Tangled Bank
Studios.
At our upcoming event on November 7th @ HQ in La Grande,
we will be screening one of their films: "A Farm Goes Wild."
For years, Derek Gow worked his 400-acres in western England as a conventional sheep and cattle farm. Watch this latest WildHope episode to see how he’s rewilding his land to what it once was: a healthy, biodiverse ecosystem. We hope you will join us for the event. Thank you HHMI Tangled Bank Studios for creating such great content and supporting the Wild & Scenic Film Festival
