HaysHope2Go
HaysHope2Go is a project to alleviate hunger among our students who are most in need.
Food insecurity is a major barrier to having students focus on their work in class on their way to reaching their full academic potential.

We are grateful to recognize DLC Financial Services, an incredible community partner since 2018. They have consistently supported our efforts through the Clothes Closet and HaysHope2Go, always showing up for our students and families.
From organizing food and clothing drives to supporting fundraisers and making personal contributions, their generosity has helped us remove barriers and meet real needs in our community.
Debbie Condel, Jenni Dunaway and the entire DLC Financial Services family truly embody what it means to give back. We are deeply grateful for their continued partnership and heart for service.

Thank you to Chapa Middle School and Negley Elementary students, staff and families for leading and supporting campus food drives to assist our district HaysHope2Go program. Through this effort, we continue to address food insecurity in our Hays CISD community with weekly food distributions, providing more than 1,000 grocery bags since August 2025. In addition, our weekend backpack program serves over 550 students each week in partnership with our sponsor, Ancora Ministries.
If you are so inclined to assist, we can use the following items: cereal, oil, salt, pepper, ramen packs or cups, canned spaghetti sauce, and canned chicken.
You may also donate online to support our efforts-

Because of inclement weather conditions, Hays CISD has cancelled school for Monday, January 26, 2026. This includes all student activities as well. However, the school board meeting for Monday night is still set to occur at the normally posted time and location.
At this time, the district is on track for a regular schedule Tuesday. While Tuesday is expected to be cold, road conditions should be safe. Remember, the district only sends weather messages when schedules change. So, unless additional messaging occurs, Tuesday’s schedule remains normal.
As always, the district makes weather decisions systemwide. If your family has individual concerns or circumstances that make conditions for you unsafe, choose safety first when considering travel to and from school.

Welcome back from break and happy New Year! This is a reminder that Hays CISD buses now require all students to use their IDs to board.
Hey Hays CISD family, a friendly reminder for those who have students who ride the school bus – please ensure they have their student ID badges with them!
On Jan. 1, 2026, Hays CISD began requiring all students to have a valid Hays CISD student ID to ride a school bus. Hays CISD uses SMART Tag ID’s to keep bus riders safe. The district will not leave kids without ID’s at bus stops in the morning, but students must have their ID’s (replaced at their campuses, if needed) to get a bus ride home!
Safety doesn't take a back seat in Hays CISD! Let's have a great restart to the school year when classes resume on Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2026.
