We're thrilled to welcome Kristin Blocker back to Krum ISD! After 18 wonderful years as a teacher here, Ms. Blocker transitioned to an Educational Diagnostician position with the Denton County Special Education Cooperative, where she's been housed at Dyer for the past 4 years. Now, with the dissolution of DCSEC, it was a natural choice for her to officially return home to Krum ISD.

With 22 years of experience in special education, Kristin Blocker brings deep expertise, genuine care, and unwavering commitment to our students and families. Originally from Flower Mound, she's passionate about helping kids and parents succeed—and it shows in everything she does!

Ms. Blocker's professional philosophy centers on open communication and transparency with fellow educators and parents to better support student needs and help them thrive. She believes that when we work together with honesty and clarity, amazing things happen for our students.

Beyond the classroom, you'll find Kristin Blocker spending time outside with her family, riding horses with her husband and daughter, caring for their animals, hauling to barrel races and rodeos, and taking spontaneous road trips to explore new places!

All KHS Bobcats involved in athletics or band in need of an annual physical, NOW is the time!

Join us to welcome Laura Crandall to the Krum ISD team as an Occupational Therapist! With 6 years of OT experience—3 years in clinical pediatric OT and 3 years in school-based settings—Ms. Crandall brings expertise, creativity, and genuine passion to our students.

Laura Crandall has been serving Krum students for the last two years through the Denton County Special Education Co-op, and she's lived just outside of Krum for 20 years. "I love working for a small district," she shares. Now she's officially part of the Bobcat family!

Growing up as a Navy family kid, Ms. Crandall moved to a new state every few years before settling in Austin at age 16. She came to North Texas for college at TWU and never left—and we're so glad she stayed!

Getting to know students and finding creative ways to help them reach their goals drives Ms. Crandall. Her approach as a school-based OT centers on collaboration and empowerment—helping students build independence and success by strengthening their abilities and removing barriers. This year, her goal is to help students develop self-advocacy skills!

When she's not supporting our students, you'll find Ms. Crandall listening to audiobooks, spending quality time with family, attending Jazzercise, traveling, hiking, boating, snow skiing, and cheering on her kids in theater and dance performances!

Update from City of Krum Government with good news on Hopkins Road construction

We're thrilled to welcome Jennifer Kragh back to Krum ISD as an Educational Diagnostician! While Ms. Kragh never really left—she's been serving Krum students and families through the Denton County Special Education Coop since 2020—we're so excited to have her officially join the Krum team.

With 29 years of special education experience (23 as a teacher and 6 as a diagnostician), Ms. Kragh brings expertise, genuine care, and a powerful commitment to student success. Originally from a small town in central Nebraska, Kragh and her husband moved to Krum in 1999 and raised their son here. Krum is truly home!

What drives Jennifer Kragh? Those magical "light bulb moments" when struggling students finally understand a concept—and as a diagnostician, her passion for helping families find the answers and supports their students need. Her teaching philosophy is based on the belief that all students can learn, and it's our job as educators to find the supports and services they need while recognizing that success looks different for every learner.

Beyond the classroom, you'll find Ms. Kragh spending quality time with family (her son is getting married in March—how exciting!), reading, baking, playing games like pitch, BUNCO, Phase 10, and Uno with friends and family, and road tripping to Oklahoma to visit loved ones.
