Project: Injection Mold Slide Insert

Objective: Repair the broken rib inside the part cavity.

Material: Hardened Tool Steel

Note: Post machining required after the repair was completed with the laser welder.

Project: Injection Mold Hot Sprue Nut

Objective: Build up the outside diameter of the nut a minimum of .015"/ side is required. The customer marked the area in RED.

Project: Injection mold laser engraving

Objective: Reverse engrave the cavity # (68) into the top.of the insert.

Note: Text height is approximately .039" (1mm) x .003" deep.

Project: Laser engraving graphite electrodes

Note: The customer provided the electrodes machined with the finished contoured top. The cut depth was approximately. 020".

Project: Injection mold core pin

Objective: Recreate the broken material saver with laser weld.

Material: Hot work tool steel

Note: The weld will be finished by the customer using an EDM machine and electrode.
